As technology advances with things like AI, people are going to be working less, but gaining more opportunities to burn their own path. Technology like AI can be an amazing tool for those of us who are reaching out to blaze our own trail and start our own businesses. If you are working alone to create a side gig, AI can be a great assistant to help you move your business along. 

AI is essentially another person (bonus: they don’t nag you with a bunch of questions while asking to take breaks all the time) that can handle things as well as, if not better, than a human. If you are still working your 9 to 5 job– and have managed to work mostly remotely– then you can easily utilize AI to your advantage.

Platforms such as ChatGPT and Grok by X are paving the way for AI assistance in your career. If you are required to send any kind of written documents or answer any questions to your bosses or colleagues, these forms of AI are the perfect way to free up your time.

In the early days of ChatGPT, I would have to write reports for my bosses every few days. While working remotely, I would be focusing on my tasks for my side gig while inputting information into ChatGPT to write the reports for my bosses. My bosses– who were totally unfamiliar with ChatGPT– actually praised my knowledge and commitment to improving my writing! Hack accomplished.

According to a devabit.com study, the World Economic Forum expects AI to positively impact the job market. As most people assume that AI will destroy jobs and cause a substantial rise in unemployment, it appears the opposite is true. The WEF study expects AI to create 70 million jobs while only displacing 20 million, producing an additional 50 million jobs.
