Happiness is Paid for Through Time and Energy

So many people in this world put happiness above everything– which is great– happiness is a cornerstone of life, but happiness is earned. People become depressed and unhappy in life because they feel ‘unlucky’ or ‘mistreated’ by the powers that be in the Universe. 

What typically needs to happen for an individual that is pursuing happiness, is for that individual to put time and energy into something greater than themselves. Happiness can be viewed as a form of currency if you want to look at it that way, a currency that is earned through putting time and energy into something worthy of your time and energy. Something that is meaningful and has a goal to be obtained.

Actual money will fall into place whenever you put your time and energy into something that is meaningful, but if monetary dollars are what your goal is to obtain, then it will be very difficult for you to obtain it without having a goal and putting the necessary time and energy into that goal. 

When you achieve that goal, happiness is inevitable. You will look back and be proud (another form of happiness) of what you have accomplished through hard work, time, and energy.
