The world is spinning faster and faster as technology becomes more and more advanced. I heard a speech one time about how the amount of technology that was developed from 1900-2000 is now being produced within months.
What does that have to do with the right life, you ask? Well, as the world continues to change and evolve technologically, it obviously changes the way we operate as humans. When I was growing up in the 1990’s getting a degree was what you did after high school. If you didn’t you were really putting yourself behind the eight-ball moving into the professional world.
However, nowadays you have kids that don’t even graduate high school because they’re millionaire influencers on social media– and it’s considered normal! But for this specific blog I’m talking to all of those millennials and before out there that did their time and got a degree– likely in something they have lost interest in over time or never had interest in to begin with.
Now is the time that you need to sit back and reevaluate your life and figure out if that degree was really geared to what you are passionate about. Most people I have talked to say no, or they just got a general business degree because they were unsure what they wanted to do with life when they were 19 or 20 (understandably so).
So back to technology. Technology has opened the window for you to get out there and create, learn, and discover. You can do anything you want– there aren’t limitations like there were even in the 1990’s. Your degree can be in botany (totally pointless) and you could go out and create multiple businesses to create the ‘right life.’ Quit letting your degree hold you back from what you are truly passionate about. Wrong degree with the right life is one decision away.
